Lunch is served at the onsite Ripples Cafe. Select any meal up to the value of $26 for adults and $14 for children. If your meal is less than the assigned value, the remaining value is forfeited.

Homeschool Excursion - From beaches and dune forests to mangroves and rocky shores, our local ecosystems are remarkable, and they're changing. In this thought-provoking session, students and their parents will walk through these habitats, discovering how they support people and wildlife, and what happens when human activity disrupts them. Grounded in real local examples, it's a meaningful exploration of biodiversity, ecosystem change, and the role we all play in looking after these special places.

Ticket includes one child and one parent. Additional children at $22.50 and additional parents at $15.00 per person. The session caters to children aged 5 - 15 years. Minimum numbers apply. 

Home School Excursion - Students and their parents will experience the wonders of the Rocky Shore. If your child loves asking "what's that?", this is the session for them. Starting in the Marine Discovery Centre with live creatures, interactive terminals and microscope exploration, students then head out to the rocky shore for a hands-on investigation of the habitats, adaptations and food chains hiding in plain sight. Engaging, fun and genuinely educational, it's a marine adventure they won't forget.

Home School Excursion - Students and their parents will trek through the mangrove forest, uncovering what makes mangroves so remarkable, why they're a critical nursery for young fish, and what puts them at risk. Back in the Marine Discovery Centre, local video and hands-on microscope exploration reveal the hidden world of seagrass, from remarkable plant adaptations to the tiny creatures that depend on them.

Homeschool Excursion - The Wallum Heathland is a fascinating window into plant survival, and in spring it bursts into colour with a stunning wildflower display. Students and their parents will trek through this ancient landscape, collecting specimens to study under the microscope, then dive into the sustainable world of algae art, exploring its vibrant natural pigments and eco-friendly properties through hands-on painting and dyeing inspired by their finds.
